The first time I made a 'passive' sale in my online nutrition business (Rebelle Nutrition)

I remember the first time I made a passive sale from someone on my email list.

I was on vacation in Portugal, a few days after setting up some automated emails that I hoped would do some of the heavy lifting for me (aka selling) while I sat on the beach.

I had no expectations about what would happen with those emails...

But as soon as I started to see the PayPal notifications come in, I almost felt...guilty?!?

I dunno about you, but I grew up with the belief that “you have to work really hard to make money”.

So the fact that I was making sales while watching sunset in the Algarve region (<<< highly recommend, btw) shattered my beliefs around what was possible for me in my business.

I thought...

"Could making sales REALLY be this easy?"

"What if my audience finds out I wrote these emails ahead of time, would they think less of me? Am I being 'inauthentic'?"

and my personal favorite....

"What if I was able to make sales like this, ALL THE TIME?!?"

^^^This was a huge turning point in my business - and a few weeks later, I quit my full-time serving job.

6 months later I was traveling full time using this SAME method.

And 3 years later, my e-mail list is STILL the backbone of making sales in my business.

1. Decide what you’re selling (an online course, 1:1 coaching, an e-book, or even a product like Beautycounter)

2. Identify the EXACT type of person that your paid offer would be perfect for (+ what problem it is solving for them)

3. Start creating free content around the wants and needs of the person you identified in #2

4. Use this free content to “funnel” people onto your e-mail list

5. From here, make sure you have automated e-mail sequences planned to send out whenever someone new joins your email list, so that you can passively sell them on your courses, products or offers - without lifting a finger!
